For many great years we have been performing successful plastic & cosmetic surgery procedures in the San Francisco Area. Much of our success can be attributed to our professional staff and state of the art plastic surgery facilities. Doreen and Janice comprise our dedicated and professional staff. Together Doreen and Janice have many years of experience with plastic surgery care, and you will find them to be knowledgeable and sensitive to whatever questions and concerns you may have. They will also be happy to share their own personal plastic surgery experience with you and help relieve the anxieties that often accompany this big step forward in your life.

All preoperative and postoperative care is provided in our private office located in downtown San Francisco. Our facility is designed to afford our patients a comfortable and pleasant environment while ensuring complete confidentiality. Our staff is dedicated to seeing that the entire process of your having plastic surgery be a pleasant and reassuring experience for you.

One of our most important considerations is where to perform surgery. Some plastic surgeons operate in their offices, but this can potentially raise certain safety issues, and safety should never be compromised. In terms of the variety of sophisticated medical equipment and number of trained personnel available, a private office is simply no match for a hospital in the unlikely event of an emergency. There is obviously never a need for the hospital to dial 911!

Dr. Friedman has chosen Saint Francis Hospital in San Francisco to perform the majority of his surgical procedures. He has years of experience working with their staff and has found their facilities to be second to none. The entire staff that comes in contact with our patients has been specially trained in all the nursing, medical and surgical aspects of plastic surgery. Safety, comfort and expertise are the hallmark of patient care at Saint Francis.

While a number of factors are involved in selecting a qualified and competent plastic surgeon, we believe that none is more important than board certification. This benchmark simply verifies that the doctor has been fully trained in an accredited plastic surgery residency and then passed an extremely rigorous oral and written examination. Dr. Friedman was certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1973. This board is not to be confused with several other sound-alike plastic/cosmetic surgery boards that do not require training in a plastic surgery residency and are NOT recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialists.
