Forehead / Browlift The eyebrows and eyes together make up a single visual unit, and one cannot ignore a malpositioned brow or displeasing forehead frown lines when eyelid or facial rejuvenation is undertaken. Think of an eyebrow accenting an eye like a frame accents a portrait. BALANCE AND HARMONY must be present in both cases to realize an ideal appearance. As one ages (or sometimes simply due to heredity) the eyebrows lose their support and gravity pulls them downward while prominent frown lines deepen, leading to a whole constellation of unintended negative expressions. If people sometimes ask if you’re getting enough sleep or if there is something bothering you when in fact you’re well rested and feeling just fine, it may be your brows and forehead that are contributing to the false signals. Recall how a cartoonist often draws the eyebrow shape and position to create an intended facial expression. So it is in real life. For example, when the inner brows have dropped, the expression becomes stern. When the outer brows fall, a sad expression results. When the entire brow migrates downward, one simply looks tired or older. Couple that with frown lines between the brows, or furrows running across the whole forehead, and an element of anger or worry is added. A personal consultation with Dr. Friedman will help you to determine whether your forehead and brows are contributing to a look that is not to your liking. He can use COMPUTER IMAGING to demonstrate how changes in this part of your face can improve your entire expression and overall facial appearance.
